Legendary figure skaters Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, along with the Netherlands’ women’s national football team coach Sarina Wiegman, have been honoured in the New Year Honours list for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.

Torvill and Dean, who famously won gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics with their iconic Bolero routine, have been recognized for their contribution to the sport of figure skating and their continued dedication to inspiring young skaters around the world.

Wiegman, who led the Netherlands to victory at the 2017 UEFA Women’s Euro and has been a trailblazer for women in football, has been awarded for her exceptional coaching skills and her commitment to promoting gender equality in the sport.
